Last little peek of Madison’s Senior pictures. I have another beautiful senior that will be going up tomorrow!!

I began an interest in photography as a young child. I remember saving allowance and babysitting money to buy a 110 camera. I would take pictures of everything imaginable, send my film in to be developed and then wait anxiously for the pictures to be delivered. Later on I would discover the magic of the darkroom and process my own images, holding my breath in wonder as pictures appeared on the light sensitive paper. I loved the creative outlet photography offered me. I went on to earn a degree in fine art photography and work as a custom printer and as a portrait photographer. When my first daughter was born my love and passion for photography was fueled again changing from an outlet of creative expression to artfully documenting the various stages of childhood. I love that through this medium I can create works of art from memories I will always treasure.
My style of photography is a cross between fine art and lifestyle photography. I will observe the child or family and then try to capture the stage that they are in or a particular relationship. I am very relaxed in my shooting style and will follow the child's lead. This means I will try to take the dreaded portrait session and turn it into a fun experience for all. I am a mother of four young children and understand that children have very strong opinions and may insist on a certain item of clothing they feel good in, or staying close to a beloved toy. To me this is great, because a picture with the worn out butterfly wings or mismatched socks will show a true representation of their personality at this stage in their life.
I am located in Kennewick, Washington and am available for travel in the Tri-Cities.
