One Roll, February 2019.
Up this month is Evelyn, my oldest daughter on the verge of finishing up high school and venturing out into the world as a full fledged adult. She has grown so much in the past four years and I am excited to see what the future holds for her. I decided to photograph Evelyn this month not only to satisfy the urge to document her as much as I can before she moves out but because February is CHD Awareness month. Not many people are aware that Congenital Heart Defects affect every 1 in 100 children born. Evelyn was 6 when she underwent heart surgery to correct a small hole in heart that had been present since birth. It was a scary time hearing the news that your child had to undergo heart surgery but Evelyn did amazing and within a week she was up and running around back to her normal spunky 6 year old self. I am so thankful for Evelyn and for modern medicine that has allowed her to grow into a beautiful young lady.
All photos were shot on Kodak’s TMax 400 film.

Oh mama, I know this last year at home is a heart wrenching one! The relationship that evolves after graduation is pretty amazing too. That Tmax is looking might fine here, it suits the emotion emanating between the 2 of you perfectly.
